Mischa Zverev of Germany eased past second seed Bobby Reynolds into the final qualifier. The German lost one game and trounced the American in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1, in just 54 minutes.
Zverev was almost flawless in the opener as he did not lose even a single game and broke Reynolds three times to claim it 6-0.

The German continued to dominate in the second set, dropping just one game and sealing it 6-1.
Zverev was better than his opponent in all the departments of the game. The German fired three aces and converted both break opportunities he came across in the second set.
The world number 208, Zverev, will face another American competitor, Michael Yani, in the final qualifier. Yani ousted Russian Mikhail Elgin in three sets 7-6(6), 3-6, 7-6(5) in the previous round.
Meanwhile, Tim Smyczek of USA thrashed countryman Dennis Lajola in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 in the second qualifier. The match lasted for only an hour and one minute.
Smyczek snatched a couple of his opponent’s serve games in the first set and made full use of them to win it 6-3.
The American showed no respite to his compatriot, allowing Lajola to win only one game and breaking him two times in the second set to capture it 6-1.
Smyczek is drawn to take on another country mate Jack Sock to book his place in the main draw. Sock prevailed over Jean-Rene Lisnard of Monaco in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 to move to the third qualifier.
The American made two breakthroughs in the opener and capitalised on them, building a 5-1 lead. He served out the set at 5-2.
Sock came roaring in the second, clinching first three games to bag a 3-0 lead. Lisnard clawed his back, levelling the score at 5-5. Sock didn’t lose any point after that, winning the set 6-4.
In another match on Sunday, Nicholas Monroe of the United States, fought back from a deficit one set to overpower Artem Sitak of New Zealand in three sets 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. The American needed an hour and 55 minutes to come out victorious
and secured a place in the final round of the qualifying draw.
