Misdeameanor class c??? Keep me from getting a job?

I've applied for a job, interview went great..did my drug test -now I'm waiting on my background check which usually takes 3 days but has been almost 10 days..I have only a class c misd. charge..is that what is holding up the background check??

that's possible, employers can hold arrest records against you for 7 years from the date of the arrest. But, a class c misdemeanor can easily be expunged.
