Misdemeanor non-payment child support and getting a job?

I have a misdemeanor attempted failure to pay child support from when i got behind due to a short time disability i was dealing with..i had been paying current and arrears for a year when they arrested me..now i am up for a great job but am afraid of the background check..would this charge necessarily bar me from employment..to me its not theft or violence.

  2. Give it a shot. If you have a good resume, then something as small as child support should not affect you; unless the interviewer is a feminist. On a separate note; paying support to a lazy welfare mom sucks, since it goes on for 18 yrs. My secret, see my kid when I can and totally ignore my ex, karma catches up to everyone!
