Misdemeanor on criminal record for concealed hand gun permit.will it stop me from getting employed?

a year ago i got a citation for NOT showing a officer my permit (i forgot) this put a misdemeanor on my recored which was thrown out no charge not guilty..im looking for a job and got the "welcome aboard!" but they need to do background check..i told them its there and that its in process of being expunged..its a collections call center job..should i worry? i asked because a retail store declined me because of it but i didnt tell them at that time because i didnt know

  1. It should not affect the job.  Only a conviction should affect a job.  Good luck.


  2. By law, employers can only consider convictions.

    There are some exceptions for government jobs, and those requiring a high security clearance, but in this case you will be fine.

    Pay no attention to Heather, my guess is she owes a lot of people money.

  3. Collections call centers hire criminals and that's probable why your already "welcome aboard!". Come up with some more crimes and you'll make supervisor.
