Misha Zilberman overpowers Scott Evans in Men’s Singles first round at Li Ning China Masters
Israel’s top shuttler Misha Zilberman found a good start and advanced into next stage after proving his worth in Men’s Singles first round after defeating Ireland’s Scott Evans at the Li Ning China Masters Super Series 2012 in China, on Wednesday, September
12.
The aggressive Zilberman, who has been struggling hard to prove his worth at international level for the last couple of years, showed an elevated performance and remained successful in beating his Irish rival in a convincing manner.
Zilberman employed all of his skills on court while remaining focused on court and managed to end up the contest in two games with a decent margin by consuming 41 minutes in the arena.
On the contrary, Evans gave a good fight on court as he played to his maximum potential and put up a strong show but he failed to prove his worth at the ending points and lost the match with a close margin.
The opening set was entertaining for the crowd when both players put up wonderful show of attacking and positive badminton and remained close at the opening stage.
Until the end of opening half in first game, no one could establish a good lead as they played at the same level.
After the mid-game interval, they remained positive and aggressive on court and progressed in the similar fashion and they did not miss any chance to earn points.
Zilberman played with precision and remained successful in taking the opening game with a dramatic 24-22 score on the board.
In the following set, Evans tied his best to dictate the pace of rallies by putting in extra effort but could not dictate the pace of rallies and remained struggling until the end of opening half.
After the mid-game interval, Zilberman remained consistent on court as he played with remarkable precision and did not let his rival to get into strong position.
The in-form Zilberman executed positive and attacking shots in the ending points and took the set with a 21-17 score on the board.
Zilberman won this opening round contest in straight games with a considerable margin of 24-22 and 21-17.
