  1. you might find some information about coins from this site: coincollectorshouse.com

  2. Just use "rare" followed by the denomination as your search line. There are so many different rare coins it will amaze you.

  3. I have a whole bunch of these.

They arent very easy to find bunch are

    fantastic trasures.

  4. I have collected coins for a long time.  I am attracted to error coins that have mistakes that are very easy to see.  I also like those mistakes that make it clear how coins are made.

A "clashed" die coin for example happens when no blank coin is inserted and the dies smash into each other.  The next several coins have clear images of that clash.

Or sometimes a coin is struck off center with part of it remaining blank.

Very few of these are extremely valuable, but they are fun to see, and easy to collect.

The ones where there seems to be an extra leaf or something don't seem very interesting to me.

There is an interesting magazine to look at for more information called Error Coins. http://www.etcmmag.com/

  5. There are mint errors available on almost all types of coins.  The Wisconsin "D" state quarter comes in two rare varieties with extra leaves on the corn.  1000 bucks.
