Miss Manners (etiquette columnist) says men should have both feet on the ground while seated?

for OBVIOUS reasons. Well I am a man and while seated I usually cross one ankle over the other knee at 90 degrees for comfort or sometimes cross one knee over the other. I am normally endowed. At my computer there is no room for this so both feet are on the ground. How about it guys do you sit cross legged?

  1. Ummm... It really depends where you are. For example if you are at an interveiw... you really should sit with both feet on floor it is more "proper," but if you are hanging out with your friends you can sit however you want! :)

  2. Are you asking about whether I (woman) agree with Miss Manners as well or are you conducting a male-only poll here about common practice...?

It depends on where you sit, doesn´t it? I´m sure that at a restaurant table or while working at a desk, you don´t cross 90 degrees. ;)

  3. I hate all these stupid rules! You're an adult: Sit however you want if there's room!  However, at a business meeting or while on a city bus, it's best to sit with both feet on the floor! Simply more professional and courteous.
