Miss Tilly Oscar likely to succeed in Tonbrie Construction Novices´ Hurdle
Miss Tilly Oscar will be a solid contender for victory in the Tonbrie Construction Novices´ Hurdle at Worcester in England on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. A cash prize of £1,949 will be awarded to the winner of the class-4 event.
A total of 13 runners will be seen in action over the 2 mile 7 furlong event, which will start at 20:20 GMT. The weather seems to be good, thus the going has remained good. There are quite a few inexperienced runners scheduled to take part in the race, which
will make the competition interesting.
However, it will be difficult for the punters to select their favourite out of the current list of participants. The do have a few good options though and one of them is, Miss Tilly Oscar, who has the potential to make a name today. She has been given a
general starting price of 5 to 1 by the bookmakers, which goes onto show that they expect a solid show from her.
The six-year-old mare does not have a lot of experience at the competitive level, as she has only appeared in three events. She debuted back in 2010 and took part in just one race that year. Her performance in that was pretty ordinary, as she finished way
down in ninth place. She was unable to challenge her rivals and this was a big disappointment for her team.
However, the Nigel Twiston-Davies’ trainee made a strong comeback after an absence of a couple of years. She was given a starting price of 8 to 1 back then and was up against some quality runners. Despite that, she managed to cause a big upset and won the
race by three and a half lengths.
In her most recent outing, the Irish runner was given the best odds by the bookies, but she failed to meet their expectations in the end. She lacked the stamina to shine that time around, but can make a winning comeback today.
Miss Tilly Oscar’s performances in PTP events have been pretty much impressive, but it will be important for her to carry that form at the highest level. She will be accompanied by Sam Twiston-Davies in the race.
