Miss You Too unlikely to miss victory in Weatherbys Vat Services Star Stakes (Listed Race) (Fillies)
The Mick Channon trained bay filly, Miss You Too, will not miss any opportunity to defeat her nine worthy rivals to lift the ace title of the Weatherbys Vat Services Star Stakes (Listed Race) (Fillies) here at Sandown racecourse on Thursday, July 26. The
Class 1 contest over 7 furlongs and 16 yards will commence at 3:05 (GMT).
For the first time in her two-race career, the two-year-old novice runner will run on a good to firm track. On winning, she will be awarded £13,043.
The brilliant daughter of Montjeu out of Portrait Of A Lady started her career on June 22, 2012 and finished as a runner-up against a dozen of competitors in her maiden start entitled as Gordon’s Maiden Auction Fillies’ Stakes over 6 furlongs at Goodwood.
The Andrew Whitlock owned fantastic filly moved ahead to break her maiden surprisingly in the Cakemark E B F Maiden Stakes over 7 furlongs at York on July 13. She was 4-5 favourite for that race.
With these two starts, the momentous sprinter has made herself felt in the eyes of the bookmakers. Today again, she will run under her regular jockey Matthew Davies.
Following her last triumph, Miss You Too is awash with winning drive. Thus, the entire situation goes to the filly’s favour. Let us see how she manages to capitalise on this to earn second straight success.
On her way towards the boundary strap, she will have to face immense resilience from Amazonas who is coming straight from the gorgeous Royal Ascot stint. The Ed Dunlop trained bay filly nicely finished 4th in the 14-runner race of the Albany Stakes
(Group 3) (Fillies) on June 22. That was a decent performance without podium.
Earlier, the daughter of Cape Cross out of Francesca D’Gorgio debuted on June 5 with a grand victory in the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Novice Stakes at Yarmouth.
Thus, it is anticipated that both the strong fillies will fight neck-to-neck in the coming contest. It will be amazing to see who of the duo carries the day. Good luck to them.
