as if you just wait for the tri nations, sure we went through a slump last year, but at least we didn't lose to france in the world cup again. And as for the guy you reckons no Australians have respect for Union well up in Queensland no one has respect for AFL, is easy to say AFL is the best when no one else in the world plays it!

I don't know about other states, but here in VIC, Australians don't have ANY respect whatsoever for the game of Rugby. Slowly but surely they are starting to have some respect for League, but none for rugby and I don't see it changing anytime soon. If there is no public support (The ARC was defunct after 1 season as well), the Australian team will slowly start getting weaker. I personally hope they stay strong for the sake of the Tri-Nations and the S14, but the current generation of Wallabies just don't cut it.
