Missed 3 days of 1st week of Yaz, pregnancy chances?

Question

I have been stressed at work this past week and elected not to take the inactive white pills in the Yaz pack on Wed 08/13. So my first active pill should have been on Mon 08/17....except I forgot to refill my Yaz prescription and didn't remember until today 08/20. I have had unprotected s*x with my husband two times since Mon 08/17.

So, my obvious question comes in two parts: What are the chances I ovulated and could now become pregnant? It is my understanding that I won't ovulate until Week 2; so even though I had unprotected s*x I will not be able to conceive this early into my cycle.

Secondly, now that I've missed the first three active pills for the month...should I wait until this Sunday to start again or wait until after this month's menstrual cycle (in case I don't have one, and am pregnant)?

My sister got pregnant with her 5th child on YAZ. Just months after having her fourth baby. She claims hadn't missed a day of taking the pills..

Just start taking your pills at day one and continue on. You shouldn't be ovulating at all if you are on the pill. The only reason we stop taking the pill for seven days as per our regular cycle is that the doctors that invented and sold the pill thought women would like that more as it was the same as our regular routine. That is why they have those pills now that you can take all year and never get your period. If you are really worried you should take the morning after pill (it's basically a super huge dose of bp hormones). You could also ask planned parenthood or a similar resource, they would give you assuring advice.

The chances that you are pregnant are slim, but it is possible. I believe that your best course of action is to wait until you've had your period with out taking the pills and resume taking them after that, in case by some slim chance you did get pregnant. If you don't have a period, don't panic, it could be from the pills so take a pregnancy test and talk to your doctor if you aren't regular.

Youre chances are extremely slim to the best of my understanding because i am as well on YAZ.

And i would wait til this cycle is over. trying to catch up on 3 pills does a toll on your hormones and its better just to wait til next month and start them again on the sunday of (hopefully, if thats what you want) youre next period
