I periods are slightly irregular so I don't know when I ovulated, my last missed period was the end of May first part of June. If we conceived it was between June 9-19. I took a couple of HPT's in early July and they were neg! Is is possible that I am pregnant and I was testing to early?? I am heading to the Dr. Monday! Anyone else get Neg results on HPts until they were further along??

  1. Im in the same boat as you. have had irregular periods and have been on the pill for about 6 years. stopped them in april had my period beginning of june and not again since. I have taken pregnancy test and they have come out negative, even when i have tryed the ovulating ones those dont seem to be right with the answer i have. so you could be testing to eary. but i wish you luck at the doctor. im going my self in a few weeks to see what could be going on with me if im not pregnant. best of luck to you

  2. Hmm, well, your missed period could be a sign of stress.  A couple months ago, I missed my period for the first time (and FLIPPED OUT, ha), but realized it was due to a LOT of stress I was going through at the time.  Our bodies react differently to stress, etc., so pay attention to what you may be going through.  Also, I have read that if you have been more/less active lately than usual, that may also effect your period.  Why haven't you taken another preg test since early July though?  Good thing you're seeing the doctor on Monday - soon enough you will have it figured out!

    Good luck!

  3. Have you taken a test since early July? I only ask because you didn't mention it. I'd take a test. Hopefully it will ease your mind until your appointment. Good luck.

  4. When you miss your period you have 'amenorrhea'.

There are two major reasons for not getting your period with a negative pregnancy test:

    1. You have not ovulated

    2. You tested too early and ovulation happened later than you expected

A repeatedly negative pregnancy test after missing your period uusually mena s you are not pregnant and you did not ovulate.

You should talk to your doctor and find out what happened.
