Missed my monthly, what could be the cause?

And no, this isn't another "Oh my gosh, am I pregnant?" question. :) I have had my period every month since I was 12, and the only time it was very late was after I went on an extreme diet 6 years ago. I had a m/c in April, but less than 2 weeks after, I got my period again. Had it May and June like normal, and then July ... nothing. I took a total of 5 HPT over two weeks, not pregnant. Could my hormones possibly be all crazy still this long after a m/c? Reason I ask, I don't have a doctor and I'd hate to go in if it's possible it's nothing serious. Thought maybe someone else has had this happen to them.

Thank!! :)

  1. u may be pregnant but it could also be stress. I had a friend the same way, regular every month for 20 years and then nothing. She wasn't pregnant just really stressed. take a test and then wait a couple weeks and take another, if still not convinced go to the docotor.

  2. due to a change in diet, or stress, anything minor like this can trigger it off. nothing to worry about.

  3. You do not say how old you are now.

I would say that more then likely that you are just having a hormonal change. All women go through a hormonal change from the time they begin their period to the time they end it, and even then it continues.

I would see what happens with- in the next couple of months, and if you continue to have a problem I would then go see a doctor, you can go to a free clinic or plan parenthood which is also free if that would help you.

You should be having annual breast and pap tests anyway, and they give you free condoms which is something your partner should be using.Otherwise you would not be taking 5 HPT and you are also opening yourself up for STDS.

  4. If you had s*x with a guy then you might be pregnant. But if not, your cycle must have been delayed.

  5. physical fitness can make it to where you dont even get a monthly visit from aunt flo. So dont sweat it, just be sure your not pregnant.

  6. pregnant

  7. have you started losing weight again?

    or working out more?

these could be contributing factors as well as the m/c

but it is still best to see a doctor

    best of wishes
