Missed one pill and 3 periods in a month???

I missed one pill in the middle of my pack. I didn't double-up, just kept going with the pill pack. Within a day a started a light period which lasted longer than my normal one. (So, that's period #2 in three weeks.) And this is more than "spotting".

It slowed then stopped. Now it's 3 days later and I'm bleeding bright red? Heavier than before. So period #3 now!

PS No chance of me being pregnant. I'll see my OB this week. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience. I've been on the same type of pill for 7 years and missed one before, but never had any spotting.

Can stress bring this on?

In my experience stress can certainly do it but also I think there is a possibility that you need to change the type of pill you are on.

I had several types (different hormone levels and different makers) over the years. 7 years is a long time on one brand and our bodies change over time. Best wishes. UK
