Missinform about Gold gym membership?

I went to visit a new gym by invitation from e-mail and phone.

I like the facility there.The only concern I had is kind of distance from my place. The sale agent there convince me that I can join here and be work out any gym that I wish.

I was disappoint when I got turn down from gold gym near my house, I am going back there to confront them this missinform issue.

That 's too bad . The agent says there is not his dept. anymore

If you joined Golds, you got a Gold's key tag.  It will be accepted at any Golds.  Now if you joined in one state and try to use one out of state 'daily' I think they require you to transfer your membership but as a guest who is traveling, you are still fine.

My problem with them was they use a 3rd party to pull the payments.  They hit my bank account for more than 1 months payments twice in a row.  Needless to say, I had the bank change my debit card and I stopped going.  When they finally contacted me, I told them what happen, they did an audit then elected to cancel my membership (not what I wanted to do).  

Not worth the trouble, and Gold's didn't care what that 3rd party did to my bank account.  I had bounce fees and all sorts of problems.

I've never looked back.
