Question:

Missing Link with Glucosamine (dogs & cats eating it)?

I have a Golden Retriever with major allergies & the beginnings of hip dysplasia. My vet recommended adding Missing Link with Glucosamine to his (and my 2 other dogs) food. They seem to be loving it, but the problem is so do my cats. I can't keep them away! I feed my dogs twice a day & when I do the cats come running. I have to shoo them off before the dogs do (and I'm a lot nicer than the dogs). When the dogs are done eating the cats descend & l**k the bowls clean. Will this hurt them? Can cats have Omega-3's formulated for dogs? Should I lock them up while the dogs are eating & then wash the bowls before I let them back out again?
