Question:

Missing Periods: What's wrong with me??

Hi, I'm 26, working, had a lot of stress this year, graduation, family stuff, moving house... I've been missing my period since about the end of July.

I feel somehow weak, moody and sleepy these days, and I've taken three pregnancy tests from two different boxes, the most recent one yesterday, and they all are negative.

I'm going to doctor as soon as I can by all means, I'm just curious if there is another possibility besides pregnancy?

Anyone knows?

Thanks!

  1. I would have thought it's probably down to stress.  If you've taken pregnancy tests and they've all been negative then it's probably likely you are not pregnant.  Put it down to stress and try and de-stress honey.

  2. Usually if you're not pregnant it is due to stress, bad eating habits or even overweight. In my case, im overweight so im usually missing periods and stuff but then after i just chillax and eat right for like a week or so it all comes back to normal. I recommend you to try to eat healthy and try to just chill, do this and trust me, your period will be normal  = ]

  3. Stress is a huge factor but pregnancy can be too...lol. . Go to the dr for sure ASAP. Sometimes it's too early to detect it on a home test kit. Also, there are some women (like myself) that go months on end without one and then have 2 in one month. Check out this site:

    Good luck!

  4. Stress is the main factor to missed periods.

Sudden change in lifestyle contributes to missed periods too.

Dun get too stressed abt ur periods. Dun add more stress to your stressed lifestyle. Look at how many stressed words i m using in one sentence...Boy oh boy, tats how stressed, us women are...esp wen it comes to missed periods.

U can try consulting a doctor. The first question they will probably ask is do u think u r pregnant> if u r unsure, u can request for a test. If its negative, most probably the Dr may prescribe hormonal pills for u to take. Its a course usually. U r to complete the course. Within a few days ur period will come...and becoz of the hormonal pills, ur mensus will become regular.

U can also try to relax...ur mind most importantly and then your body.

If u got a lot of things to do, finish them off one by one. Instead of thinking of them all at once. Dun stress ur brain too =) Take care.

  5. Sometimes the speed of life takes over and the body cant cope with the constant speed that we live our lives at, I think relax and it will come. Check with your doctor but the more you worry about it the worse the process becomes and take some time to smell the roses, enjoy your life at a reasonable pace instead of flat out.

    Good luck
