Missing Sims?

Question

I was playing with my sims and i told my sim to go make food. The action went some way and then dissappeared. I clicked on her picture and it took me outside the lot. I can't find her. Please help!

go out of the game and come in again if not go to the screen of the map and take her out of her house and put her back in.
