Question:

Missing messages?

I recently logged in and found my messages, when arranged by date, had a gap between Jan. 9th and Apr. 11th of 2008. When the messages are arranged in numerical order, I am missing 409 through 532. Is there any way to verify if they got deleted? Is there a message limit? Could they be overwritten?

I looked in the Management console under messages, and did not see any entries for deletion.

  1. whenever that happens to me, i look in the management console under messages and that answers my question.  are you sure you clicked the right thing?  good luck....i know how you feel!!

  2. There was a recent Yahoo systems problem with messages not appearing on group's sites and it supposedly has been fixed.  You might try again on your group to see if those missing are now back.  If they are not, you can go to Moderator Central blog http://www.ygroupsblog.com/blog/?p=62#co...

You should see a post titled "** Update: 4/10 5:02 PM PT - This issue has been fully resolved. Thank you for your patience! **.

Scroll all the way down to to the end of page to Post a Coment and post a comment, letting them know your problem still exists.  (Others are complaining that some group features still have not been fixed on their groups.)

The Yahoo staff does read the comments to try to keep groups running smoothly after a Y! groups Maintenance has been done.

  3. management- under group activity click web features- in the search box type deleted- click search. it'll bring anything deleted. also if you have moderators, do the same in the search under moderator activity
