  1. Make sure that you haven't put too much oil in the engine. This can cause excess damage to the engine and can cause it to burn oil. If it is at the correct level then it is most likely being burnt through the cylinders, you might need new seals. If a gray/blue smoke comes out of the exhaust under heavy reving then the engine is burning oil, if not then try and look for a leak.

  2. well look under it see any wet spots if not have a look at tail pipe if its black and wet you got it burning oil... and you fill the radiator and do pretty much the same look for wet spots check your hoses.... with a bad head gasket most signs you will see stream out the tail pipe water in the oil or oil in the water.... sometimes rare it can boil the water out... so checking them places first.... has it over heated lately

  3. well it all depends what typye of oil you're using. abd water i don't know it might be leaking off from somewhere.

  4. check your oil the dip stick see if it looks milky after driving the truck warm it up first if its milky then your head gasket may be bad or your engine seals are shot get truck hot then park it for a few then back it up see if there are oil and water puddles under it has to be going some were if there arent no puddles then its just burning it up  there are many things that can cause it get it to a mechnic then

  5. chevy's are known for rotted out intake manifold gaskets, especially 305 (5.0 litre)  and 350 (5.7 litre) engines. If you have a cooling system pressure tester, apply 15lbs pressure to the system and check for drips under the vehicle, chances are this is your problem with the coolant. Also the above engines are known for excessive valve guide wear and valve seals leaking oil into the combustion chamber. Try letting it sit overnight and have another person watch the exhaust  for a blueish tint upon start up.
