Missionaries - Please Help me!?

Question

Can someone help me? I basically got baptised into a church under peer pressure. My whole family got baptised, so I felt I needed to. The tough part is I've been interested in buddhism for about 2 years now. I just read a book entitled "Buddhism Plain and Simple." So, they come over weekly, and ask me "Do you believe in God yet?" "Are you praying yet?" And it's so tough for me because I don't want to take their side or the opposing one either. What should I do next time they come over? By the way, I am 13.

You sound like you might still be under parental authority, but old enough to speak for yourself. The only time children should be baptized is when they are young enough to be brought up in the faith of the parents. Being baptized later on in adolescence without learning the faith and making an act of faith and belief is pretty much not a valid baptism. They can't expect to baptize you and then have faith and belief develop. It doesn't work that way. Ah, 13, so at 13, why did you not have an honest talk with your folks about all this?

You should be discussing this with your parents.  You must obey them until you become an  adult.  Stay away from anyone who tells you otherwise and not respect your parents authority over you.

It appears to me ,that you are on the path towards enlightenment ,,and in need of some guidance.

As a young person your inner spirit is seeking the truth ,but you are being lead by those around you .

You need to pray for guidance ,by asking the Father of creation to help you make the right choice ,do  this with real intent ,nothing wavering ,don't give up until you receive an answer.

YOU will know when the Father has spoken to you ,its called revelation ,and its illuminating ,and beautiful.

Just yes them to death until you are old enough, and learn all you can about Buddhism, or any other religion that takes your fancy until you find the one that right for YOU!  Not your family, not the idiots that are trying to force Jesus down your throat, life sized wooden Cross and all...
