Would it be too much to ask that you help other human beings without trying to convert them?

  1. In their mind, converting them is the best way to help them.

  2. Yep!  They're not in the business of being kind and loving but in the soul-trafficking business

  3. coming from an atheist this means soooooooo much.

  4. Bravo!

  5. I don't know about trying to convert someone. But, us Christians are here to talk about the gospel, the truth about Jesus Christ, our Lord. It's up to the people themselves to believe this message-not us. We are to preach the Word of God, and let God do the rest.

  6. So you're criticizing people who travel to far-away countries to help poor, impoverished people just because they are also giving them what we believe is the best help they could ever receive by telling them about Jesus?  Who are you to dictate what missionaries tell people?

Well when you go travel to far away countries to help poor, impoverished people, or provide financial and material support for other people to travel to far away countries, then you are certainly welcome to dictate what is told and not told to those people.

  7. Yes, that would be too much to ask.

Missionaries go to Nepal and tell the Sherpas that they better better believe what the missionaries say and they better pray what the missionaries tell them to pray or they are going to h**l.

Despicable people spreading lies, in my opinion.

  8. Absolutely Donna, Thus in Greek Orthodoxy , We Dont

Proselytize. ( Convert Any)  In fact some who tried were sent to jaul.

Missionaries go on a specific mission to convert. Not to offer the

word of God/ Spread the Gospel but to convert all to the INTERPRETATION OF THE BIBLE

No you dont convert people to your faith in Jesus's name

You cant lie. Though shall not bear false witness

Greeks and Jews don't proselytize any to their faith

The person must come to the faith by their own accord You can tell them about your faith/ BUT NOT PROSELYTIZE

In Greece if you proselytize you can be fined or even sent to jail. and If you , a Greek proselytize , you can be fined or sent to jail as well

Christ said ( Come and Follow Me) Choice,

  9. That is their purpose. Hence the title "missionary".
