  1. 1. This time of year is a great time to be outdoors because the weather is perfect!  Try hiking to the L or M or to the top of Mt. Sentinal-the view from both is great!  I'd also recommend the Bitterroot valley just south of town for some great hikes.

    2. If you like sports, you could try to get tickets to a UM Griz football game.  The school is 1AA, but football is huge here and it will be a great time!

    3. If you're willing to drive from Missoula, try Glacier National Park.  It's about 4 hours away, but it's beautiful and now is a great time to visit as it is less crowded.  You could also check out the National Bison Range, which is about 1 hour north of Missoula.

    4. There is an observatory on top of a mountain just outside of town that offers free public viewing on some Friday nights (see the website for dates).

    5. If you like to fish, there are rivers and lakes everywhere!  I don't fish, but supposedly the area around Missoula has some of the best fly fishing in the US.

    6. If you just want things around town, there are several restaurants/bars that offer live music on the weekends.

    7.  Check out the downtown association's website for other events.  There's a First Friday Gallery Art Walk downtown on the first friday of every month.  They also list a lot of the live music and other events going on in Missoula.
