  1. The laws  have changed since I recieved my driver's license (I have lived in MO all my life)

Here's what  I found - don't be afraid to call up Missouri DMV in your area to ask them questions - they're pretty helpful.  If you have enrolled in local public school you should be starting in a week or 2 and you can ask your teachers - someone at the school can give you more information than I can.

In fact they probably have pamphlets outlining all you need to know (I substitute teach & think I've saw this in our local HS)

Missouri's Graduated Driver License law requires that all first-time drivers between 15 and 18 years old complete a period of driving with a licensed driver (instruction permit), and restricted driving (intermediate license), before getting a full driver license.

At age 16, the driver may apply for an intermediate license. The intermediate license allows the driver to drive alone except during a late night curfew (1:00 am to 5:00 am). The driver and passengers must use seat belts, be free of alcohol and drugs, and obey the traffic laws.

New Missouri Instruction Permit/Driver License (First-Time Driver)

Acceptable documents for proof of Lawful Presence, Identity, and Residency (click here for details about acceptable documents).

Driver Examination Record (DOR-100) from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) indicating successful completion of tests (not required for Nondriver license)

  2. Why don't you just call and ask, there answer is going to be better than ours.
