Missy Franklin impresses in Minneapolis: 2011 USA Swimming Grand Prix
Missy Franklin of Colorado Stars smashed her rivals in the pool during the third evening of the 2011 USA Swimming Grand Prix in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Sunday, November 13. Franklin went on to win the Women’s 100m freestyle title.
Franklin began the final heat in scintillating fashion and produced versatile turns against her opponents in the swimming pool to touch the finishing blockade in a winning time of 54.27 seconds.

second and third places by clicking the finishing divider in a time of 56.00 seconds and 56.18 seconds, respectively.
Additionally, the Women’s 100m freestyle C final heat was notched by Una Nbac’s Cierra Runge in a time of 56.79 seconds, while Megan Waters of Unattached settled at second place in a time of 57.05 seconds. Tori Simenec of Minnesota earned third place honours
in a spot of 57.19 seconds. Finally, Missy Franklin was delivered the gold medal after the session’s completion.
