Australian fast bowler, Mitchell Johnson was not bothered with turning 30 and reiterated that he can offer a lot to the national time in the coming years.
With the pressures of playing non-stop cricket taking a toll on a player’s body, it is a difficult job for fast bowlers to bowl at the same pace and agility when they reach in their 30s.
The player, who will celebrate his 30rd birthday during the first Test match starting next month stated that he feels fit and his body is in good shape to cope up with the rigorous demands of International cricket.
"I've got a lot of years left in me. There was a lot of talk earlier in our camps in Brisbane that I'm approaching 30 and almost over the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hill-c63180. But I'm fit and strong, and I'll keep being positive," Johnson said.
Since making his debut back in 2005, the left-armer has been a pivotal figure for the team and his role of leading the attack has become a whole lot important after the retirement of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Glenn-Donald-McGrath-c60183.
Following the retirement of the legendary pacer, Johnson initially spearheaded the bowling line impeccably, which included a devastating tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 in 2009, where he was the leading wicket- taker for the team, which helped them to achieve a notable
series win.
However, since then he has not been able to do justice to his ability and his performances against the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 have been below par. That has lead him to lose his place in the T20 side, however, with him still regarded highly in the
eyes of the management, the player still remains a key figure for the Kangaroos.
His form has shown some consistency of late, where a good domestic outing has helped the pacer to gain much needed  confidence, which was evident in the first One Day International against the Proteas, where he took 3 crucial wickets, while extracting the
same swing and bounce, which has seen him trouble the best of the batters.
With important upcoming assignments, his return to form will be precious for the Australian.
