Young Australian fast bowler, Mitchell Starc has shown keenness to play in all the matches for his country and has expressed that he does not want to be rested in the on-going tri-nation series.
Starc made his Test debut against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 as well.
However, Starc is still not a permanent member of the Australian team because of the emergence of quality pace bowlers last year. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Iftikhar-Ali-Khan-Pataudi-Nawab-of-c64075 Cummins head the list as both of them are tipped to become world-class cricketers, provided they are
able to maintain their fitness levels.
Pattinson and Cummins are currently out of international cricket, as both of them are nursing injuries. Starc along with Pattinsons and Cummins can form a deadly troika of fast bowlers for their country at the international level.
The Aussies selectors are using their fast bowlers very carefully and that is why they are following a rotation policy in the tri-series.
The left arm fast bowler has shown his reluctance to take a rest as he feels that he has the fitness levels to play at international matches on consistent basis. He clearly let it be known that if the selectors give him an option, he will not opt to rest.
"I don't want to be rested and I'm sure none of the other guys would want to be rested as well. I'm not sure what's going on with the selectors. I haven't had any contact with any of the guys regarding resting or anything like that, so personally if the
option was there to be rested, I wouldn't be taking it," he said.
However, the left arm fast bowler understands that picking the national side is the job of the selectors and they can do whatever is in the best interest of Cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746.
Starc added, "That's a selectors job and I've got no impact on that and I'm just preparing how I want to play and what they do resting players is not up to me.”
