  1. No. Both Deans and Mitch have said it is not possible.

    Think the Aussies want to surround Deans with Australians and pick his brains. Which is hard to argue with.


  2. Anything's possible in Rugby today, but the powers that be in OZ Rugby will want Deans to be surrounded by Aussies.

    Look for Mitchell to be used by Deans in an advisory role,

    or some sort of think tank of coaches and selectors that Deans can bounce ideas off and use to get a better understanding of Australian players.

  3. Not possible, unless Deans, Mitchell and the ARU go back on what they have said. I can see one of them doing that, but all three? No.

    All the Aussie Super 14 coaches will have an advisory position, as Deans has invited them to do, but only Australians will be assistant coaches. That was stated at around the time that Deans got the job.
