Mithali vows to play positively in tough English conditions – Cricket News Update
The Indian women cricket captain, Mithali Raj, on Wednesday admitted that playing conditions in England would be tough for her team; however, she vowed to play positively in the challenging conditions and produce results.
The 15-member Indian women squad left for England on Wednesday, to play their English counterparts in two T20 Internationals and five One Day Internationals. Speaking to the media reporters before departure, skipper Mithali Raj said

"I won't say we will win but we will play positive cricket,” said Mithali during a media encounter at the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Cricket Association's BKC Ground.
“With the World Cup and Asia Cup coming up, we have to be positive and confident. England conditions are tough for every cricketer. It is a challenge for us," she added further.

About her reappointment as skipper, the 29-year-old Rajasthan-born right-handed batter said it was a big challenge for her and hoped to live up to the expectations of selectors and fans.
In a build-up to the England itinerary, the Indian women had a preparatory camp in Mysore, where they played matches against boys as well. Mithali, who has played eight Tests, 135 One Day Internationals and 30 T20Is and is reckoned
as the mainstay of Indian women’s batting, said that the training camp was a good preparation for the England challenge.
"We had a good preparatory camp in Mysore. It was more of match practice, one-day and T20,” stated the skipper.
“We played practice matches against boys in Mysore which will give us confidence. That should help us," she hoped.
The Indian women will play the tour opening T20I against England on June 26, at St http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Canterbury-c775, and will conclude with a One Day International at Sir Paul Getty's Ground, Wormsley, on July 11.
