What is the major difference in chromosome behavior between mitotically and meiotically dividing cells during prophase?

  1. during prophase there is no difference

    the different between them 2 is that during mitosis the cell divides once and you end up with identical copies of DNA in both the daughter cell and the parent cell.

    During meiosis the cell divides once to get the daughter cell but then the daughter cell divides once again. but this time u dont have identical DNA u only end up with half the DNA also known as haploid
