Mitsubishi Eclipse Owners or Previous Owners!!!! Help!

Question

I was looking to purchase a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse but everyone keeps telling me about how it comes wit loads of problems such as the head gasket, misfiring pistons, bad suspension, and terrible electricals. Has anyone had any of these problems??? Should I buy it?

They aren't the best in reliability. I'm not a redneck saying c**p like "Be loyal to your country" but I would suggest a Mustang or Firebird. They both will last you forever.

If you're a loyal American you shouldn't buy a Mitsubishi regardless. They used U.S. POW's as slave laborers during WWII and have always refused to apologize for it or pay the POW's reparations. Other Japanese cars are fine. I just refuse to buy a Mitsubishi.
