Mitsubishi Eclipse VS Nissan 350z?

Whats better?

a 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT with 263 HP

or

a 2008 Nissan 350z with 303 HP

which is a better coupon affordable race car? under 35k

350 its got more power and is real wheel drive

ecplise is fwd but cheaper nice car but wont be as good racecar or as upgradible

this is stock gt car so it will make a good racecar

If you want something faster and still upgradible the 3000gt vr4 twin turbo and 300zx twin turbo both run 14 like 350z but are more upgradible and cheaper. The 3000gt was made up to 1999 if your ok with something old.

Oh and evo x has a lot of lag comparhed to bigger engine or non turbo engine and is harder without n/a torque to run its fastest time wich is also 14 sec car because it has to spool the big turbo with small engine.

RWD for better performance and handling on dry pavment.

Mitsubishi Eclipse GT

0-60mph in 5.9 seconds.

FWD for better performance and handling in wet pavement and every other surface. The Eclipse has back seats and a bigger trunk so it is more practical. And it is cheaper than the 350z.

I would rather have the 350z.

If you are at a Mitsubishi dealership looking for a fast car, go with the EVO X.  Starting at $32K (plus destination more like $33K) you get a faster car than both (0-60 in 4.8 seconds according to car and driver, or 5.0 seconds with the MR), AWD, and enough room for all your friends (as long as you don't have more than 4 friends!)

But between those two, the 350Z is an actual sports car, two-seater, that hits 60 in 5.2 seconds and is RWD.

The Eclipse GT is really just a nice looking car, although quite fast (0-60 in 5.8-6.0 seconds) it is FWD and suffers from torgue steer.  But it is cheaper.

The 350Z is the better "race car".

Get the EVO.

I luv them both, but I heard that the Eclipse is quite a heavy car...not a very good thing if you wanna race. You dig?

To race, the Nissan 350 Z is the better choice. It's rear wheel drive makes it better on launch and in corners if you are an excellent driver. Nice car to drift. The Eclipse is far from sporty. It looks sporty but does not evoke the confidence of driving a sports car. I like the looks of the Eclipse. The strong V6 brings the car to a quick start, but being front wheel drive, it's not a good launcher as it were if it were a rear wheel drive.

The 350Z has more hp, more expensive, better looking and performance.  The 350Z is affordable race car and it will outperform the Eclipse GT in every category.
