Mitsubishi console TV Model CK2689R

Question

Cannot get power to set. There is no reset visible on back of set. Is their an internal fuse or breaker that could be changed by taking the back of the set off?
Have been told by tv repair people the set is to old to mess with, and even if one could find parts it would be very expensive to repair. Until this problem, the set worked perfectly with excellent color and sound. Set is used very little usually during holidays by grandkids.
