  1. if you are good at football....having a big strong body will make you even better at football.

same goes for just about any other sport. thats why they all lift weights to some extent. thats why cops often lift weights. and yes thats why mma fighters lift weights. look up Jeff Monson.

    dont neglect your stretching though.

mma olympic training? never heard of it.

  2. If you pick a good martial arts class you won't need any of that ****. If you are detirmined and go everyday you won't need weightlifting. And for anything id say concentrate on technique and speed because you don't need strength to seriously hurt someone, only tactics and a better strategy

  3. Hey fool !  Learn more fighting skills and lay off the juice !

  4. Well I guess in part it would depend on the fighting style your going to adopt. While weight lifting is beneficial bulky muscles can reduce your range of motion and slow your movments. Best bet its a mixed training program incorporating stength training, stretching and various martial diciplines.

  5. well i can answer a part of that if is it good too have big muscles for MMA??? the answer is... it can help but you dont NEED them anyone of any weight, shape, size or height can do micxed martial arts bu i guess sinnce you are a power lifter person it will keep your stamina up!
