I have been really curious and searching myself but I was just wondering from others personal experiences also. I am white the daddy is black both have very curly hair so course I am expecting her to have very curly hair lol. But I have been looking at some websites and figuring out some products to take care of her hair and ideas for later on. But for now I am just wondering when she is a infant and up to maybe a year. If she does have some hair do I still comb it when wet? Wash it everyday or just maybe twice a week? And is it ok to put any products in her hair that young like oil or detangler anything? I am just wondering and going ahead and planning sorry if it sounds stupid just worry ahead of time. Thanks!!

  1. Use a small bush to comb out the tangles and you can use single oils, like coconut oil or fruit oils if need be. Use a children's detangling shampoo and conditioner, just keep it out of the eyes. You can braid it as soon as it gets long if you'd like an easier to take care of style. You hsould probably not use petroleum jelly/vaseline, or baby oil.

  2. I am black, but my fiance is mixed with black and white. My son has curly hair just like his father (white curly like). I wash his hair twice a week. As far as combing while wet, I haven't tried. I usually just blot the hair dry. I usually use baby lotion when combing his dry hair and his father uses baby oil. We haven't had any problems.

  3. My son is mixed as well, I am 1/2white1/2 spanish, and my husband is black. But my son has my hair, it's really soft white like hair just has big spiral curls. So I wouldn't worry about it too much until it becomes a problem.

Anyway, you shouldn't put any products in baby's(until after 1st bday) hair no matter what race. Oh and I wash his hair 3 times a week and use the johnson's detangling products

  4. your baby's hair will be like her ...and individual...it's not till' you see it and experiment with it that you'll work out the best care regime.
