Question:

Mixed success for the Colonies?

This World Cup has delivered mixed success for the English colonies.

The Mother country has played above itself to reach the Semis whilst the convict colonies (NZ & AUS) had a disappointing time in the Quarters and Ireland & wales failed to even get out of the group stages.

But the colonies of South Africa, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga & Scotland have put in fine performances to be proud of.

The other colonies taking part, USA, Canada were there to make up numbers.

It would ironic if the Final was colony-free Fra v Arg!

  1. NZ wasnt a convict colony. Get it right you stupid mole

  2. Weren't France and Argentina colonies in the past?? ;-)

  3. hahaha that was a bit of a stab in the this NZders ticker susan c lol, I agree with most on here however took it with a grain of salt and how it was intended lol.

I think we are getting to the business end of the tourny and heart and soul are on the line (so to speak), so would expect a reaction like the ones above purely for passion and pride of there country.

Yes a France - Argentina final would be ironic.

Will we finally see France break there drought and win where many a time they have stumbled at the finish line?

Have we underestimated the Argies therefore let them go under the radar and through with little flack?

This RWC if anything else would be the most controversial ive ever seen not to metion the best.

  4. South Africa became a republic in 1961 and therefore has not been a "British Colony" for 46 years.

Your questions seem aimed to antogonise and then you profess surprise when you annoy people.  Like many children with behavioral problems, you obviously need attention even if it is negative attention and sadly I am playing into your hands by even answering this question, but then I have always been a sucker for the obviously damaged....and you are so obviously damaged.

  5. Think argentina is a welsh colony, well patagonia anyway.. America defininatly is (the declaration was signed by mostly welsh folks).....

Isn't england also a colony of Wales?

    The Tudors were Welsh etc?

  6. As an Aussie I'm extremely proud of my heritage - I think Susan making that type of comment is not a true rugby fan.  I pity the girl.

Good luck to the remaining teams - my pick........Seth Effrica.

  7. Colonies is a nasty word. We are living in the 21st century.

Yes England invented the rugby and is very shameful when they loose 36-0.
