Mixer Recording Problems HELP ?

Question

I just got a new mix. Yamaha MW10. I try to record but it wont work.

i use REAPER and i got a brand new Bardl BD-20 Mic.

I plug the mic into the mixer using a XLR cable and it like records what sounbs the computer is making. It does that when the mic isnt even plugged in.

how do i get it to record from the mic people HELP ME

I'm not sure what is wrong, but you might try using the analog tape output of the mixer to your soundcard line input (blue connector).  You will need a RCA to 3.5mm stereo cable:

This setup will definitely work.  If that works, you can go back to the USB connection and see if that is the problem.

Also try  plugging in some headphones to the headphone jack on the mixer to see if you hear the mic.
