I am restoring an old Cherokee speed boat, transforming it into a fishing boat. I am now ready to apply paint with metal flake.

I have Color: MSF16 Deep Marine Blue Med Flake

Size: (MSF) Medium Sized Flake Size-.008 x .008 Hex Cut

Bottle: 2 Ounces (60 Grams) and one GALLON of BLUE Acrylic Resin Lacquer boat paint.

My question is: What is the ratio of metal flake to paint should I mix for best results?

Thank you.

  1. Correct Gun & pressure>Hope you have the paint for flake and the clear coat to spray over it> As adding flake to a solid paint wont work>It's the clear coat with a base coat>And spraying the flake wrong and it will stand on edge> not lay down> Good luck>Contact the manufacture of the flake & Paint supplyer>
