Question:

Mixing pumped breast milk?

My milk just came in but my supply is low. So far I have several sealed bottles about 2 oz. each in the fridge. Can I just add milk to a bottle in the fridge if the pumps were less than a day apart? That way I don't have so much clutter in the fridge.

  1. It's absolutely fine.

I've done it thousands of time (literally!).

Some people will say not to mix cold with warm (but I didn't find that to be a problem, actually), but, other than that, there is absolutely no prohibition against mixing breastmilk from different pumping sessions.
