Arsenal’s young winger, Ryo Miyaichi is set to stay at the Emirates this coming season, after Ajax went on to pull out of the race to land the attacker.
It was previously believed that the Dutch club were looking to make a move for the winger and sign him on a season long loan deal. However, it now seems like that move is highly unlikely.
Following Miyaichi’s signing by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in 2010, the youngster had gone on to serve out loan spell with Feyenoord and Bolton.
During his stay with the Dutch team, the Japanese international went on to impress just about everyone and also went on to become a fan favourite at the club.
Based on his successful spell with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258, Ajax felt that he would be able to come in and settle into their squad just like he did with their rivals.
However, De Boer has now insisted that this move is highly unlikely to take place and feels that the nineteen year old will now stay at the Emirates.
"In my opinion he is not an option any more," he said in a recent interview.
"There are several candidates. We'll know more soon."
When Arsenal loaned out Miyaichi to Bolton, Arsene Wenger went on to insist that he had bigger plans for the forward and those plans involved him staying in England.
It is believed that the Gunners boss is looking to make sure that Miyaichi spends the designated amount of time in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, in order for him to be considered a home grown player.
Not only would this help the forward in the future, but it would also help the team fulfil their quota of home grown players that are required for them to participate in the Premier League.
Miyaichi has proven that he has the raw talent and ability to compete with the best in the business and it is now only a matter of refining the skills and talent that he already possesses.
Given Wenger’s track record with young players, perhaps it would be wiser for the player and the club to keep him under the French manager’s supervision.
