Mizdirection eager to win Breeders´ Cup Turf Sprint
Firm tracks have always been Mizdirection’s favourite playfields. Three of her total four triumphs have come over such sort of surfaces. This is the reason most of the punters and the sport analysts believe that the Mike Puype trained filly will be able
to do well in the Breeders´ Cup Turf Sprint (Grade 1) (3yo+) (Turf) that is set to go over the firm course of Santa Anita.
Moreover, the distance of 6 furlongs and 110 yards is ideal for the young filly to show her utmost racing stamina. For the sake of the prize money worth £348,387, the four-year-old experienced runner will compete against 13 rivals including some bigwigs
like California Flag, Next Question and Bridgetown.
The best thing about the filly is that she has never stepped out of the podium in her 7-race career so far. Four victories, two runner-up ranks and a third is indeed a superb record.
In every race, the daughter of Mizzen Mast out of Deceptive demonstrates sheer courage and spirit. This is the reason she has been successful all the time.
The Joseph J. Perrotta bred filly debuted in July 2011, finishing second in her maiden outing entitled as San Clemente Handicap Stakes (Grade 2) (Fillies) (Turf).
After registering a third in October, the fervent filly beautifully broke her maiden on December 4 with the title of the Allowance Optional Claimer (Fillies & Mares) that went down at Hollywood Park.
Mizdirection turned to Santa Anita on January 3 and won Monrovia Stakes (Grade 3) (Fillies & Mares) (Turf) by beating Wild Mia. On February 25, she bagged the ace title of the Clocker's Corner Handicap (Fillies & Mares) over there.
The brilliant sprinter set a classy record by winning Las Cienegas Handicap (Fillies & Mares) (Dirt) at the same venue. After that contest, some people started saying that the filly was just made for Santa Anita.
Mizdirection will strengthen this perception further by making a big impact in today’s showdown that is an acid test of her capabilities.
As she is returning to action after a long gap of almost of five months, her fans are anxious to watch the way she fights and wins. Good luck to her.
