Mizuki Nishioka wins Girls 200m breaststroke prelims – 2012 NCSA/Itoman Allstar Meet
Mizuki Nishioka of Itoman won the preliminary rounds of the Girls 200m breaststroke on third day of the 2012 NCSA/Itoman Allstar Meet at the Golden West Swim Club in Golden West College on Sunday, September 23.
Nishioka stunned the aquatic crowd with her exhausting efforts in the distant breaststroke discipline and qualified into the final as top fastest swimmer.
Nishioka dominated the breaststroke discipline from the beginning and overpowered her opponents for the fastest qualification spot in a comfortable manner.
She remained full body length ahead of her toughest competitor and tapped the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 35.59 seconds.
Nishioka was chased by her team-member, Namiki Ueda, who stayed 0.77 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and entered the final round with an effort of 2 minutes and 36.36 seconds.
Ueda was followed by her teammate, Rika Omoto, who stayed one and a half body length behind and settled on the finishing end as third best finisher by touching the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 37.85 seconds.
Omoto was traced by Waka Yujiri of Itoman, who stayed 0.66 seconds apart and completed her swim in fourth best place by submitting an effort of 2 minutes and 38.51 seconds.
Yujiri enjoyed an advantage of full body length over Manae Sakai of Itoman, who accomplished fifth position of the swim by producing a time of 2 minutes and 39.38 seconds.
Sixth finest qualification spot of the race was obtained by Emily M Kopas of NCSA, who was two and a half body length behind and tapped the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 41.85 seconds.
Kopas was trailed by Katherine G Drabot of NCSA, who was 1.96 seconds away from her foregoing swimmer and clocked a time of 2 minutes and 43.81 seconds for seventh position.
Drabot remained in a lead of just half a body length over Riley O Scott of NCSA, who finished her race in eighth place by reporting a time of 2 minutes and 44.44 seconds.
Furthermore, Nishioka claimed that she would try her level best to secure gold medal of the event.
