I am currently in the market for a set of irons. I hit my irons pretty well, but I struggle with my 3 and 4 iron...which I do want to hit better. I know Mizuno is known for their high quality forged irons, but I am also aware that there are other great clubs out there. I hit the Taylor Made R7 tp the other day and loved them!! Too bad they were $400 over my budget! ha. I am a 10 handicap and would like to have something a little more forgiving than the MP-60s. I think the MX23s would be great for me, but I was wondering if anyone could give me good reason to go with another set? I have a max budget of $300. I'm fairly young (20-30) and have a swing speed of 105. I only play golf about once every 2-3wks...and I want enjoy hitting the clubs. Thanks!

  1. You cant go wrong with the Mizunos.  They make a fabulous club, and their quality control is the best in the business.  They wont let a club out of the plant if the specs are off by just a bit.  In my opinion, the only reason that Mizuno clubs are not more prominent on the course is the fact that they dont advertise nearly as much as the bigger names.

  2. Mizuno's arn't that great of clubs. With your budget and how little often you play you would be suitible with Top-Flite XL 199.99 dollars. Excelent set i was gonna buy this set but i decded to buy TaylorMade's.

  3. i had mizuno s brand new used 3 times and the faces cracked, exchanged them same thing happened , now using taylor made, nicer club.
