ok, i'm 15, 6 feet tall, and around 190-200 pounds. i've been a fighter for 7 1/2 years, and my cousins been teaching me mixed martial arts once a week. and i've been a runner for 3 years, this is my fourth year. i'm wondering, what kind of training can i do to help both my fighting, and my running? i'm a big guy, but i've got really fast punches, and fast/hard kicks, BUT, i'm fat... i admit. i'm not super super fat, but i am fat. and i think this fat is slowing me down on my running, i think i'm starting to get faster, but i was the slowest on my team last year, but thats going to change, i swear, so, what kind of training can i do to help both sports?

  1. Best workout you can do to benefit your endurance and strength in MMA would be to do burpees. Just follow the programs in the source I've posted.

  2. The only real thing that might help is your diet. Your training is fine

  3. Run with weights, that might help, either ankle or wrist or a weight vest, all good ways to make the legs stronger, then when you run with out the weight your body will feel lighter, and any running is good for mma.
