Mma v. boxing?

I watched the ppv MMA fights last saturday night. I am a boxing fan but I wanted to see for my self what all the fuss was about MMA taking over boxing well from what I saw boxing fans you have nothing to worry about MMA will go the way of the dinosaur. First thing I wanted to know was who were these people the main event was between these two guys who could not last a round with a real boxing champion none of the guys could take a punch skill level was zero but get this the MGM was sold out I give props to some guy named White on his marketing I did notice that there were no black fighters let me get this right there is a fight and there are no black fighters ok and I did notice that there were not that many blacks inthe crowed I did see Shaq who is a big guff ball

Well if you want to see stand up striking, Boxing, then you should watch boxing. If you want a mix between everything, MMA, then you should watch MMA. I personally like MMA just because changes can be much more quick, Its more exciting to me. I do love to see some good strikers get in there and see some nice punches.

you watched one fight card of mma and are judging all of it based on that. this simply sounds like bad logic to me

you sound like a racist....not a fan...they don't sell tickets to whites only....there are plenty of great black fighters in UFC if color is all you are looking for.....you just watched the wrong fight card......if you watch a title fight more than likly atleast one black man will be in it.......if you don't want to do PPV...(don't blame you there)........check out SpikeTV ...Wednsday nite and Friday nite.

Apparently you didnt see the fight. Sokodjou fought in the card and he is black. His fight wasnt schelded for tv but they showed it.

Most boxing fans complain that they are no blacks in the UFC. Thats because they never watched the UFC. UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Rampage Jackson, Marvin Eastman, Anthony Johnson, Melvin Gullard, Sokodjou, UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva, Cheik Kongo, Din Thomas, Rashad Evans,  and Houston Alexander are black and they fought in the UFC for a while now.

Also they are alot of Latin fighters in the UFC like UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, Diego Sanchez, Lyoto Machida, Tito Ortiz, Thiago Silva, UFC heavyweight champion Minotauro Nogeria, Shogun Rua, Kenny Florian(parents are from Peru), Roger Huerta,  Wandy Silva and alot more Latin fighters in the UFC.

Also Asian fighters like BJ Penn, Lyoto Machida half-brazilian and half-japanese, Brandon Vera, Ryo Chonan, Yoshiyuki Yoshida, Yushin Okami, Akihiro Gono, Dong kim, and they alot of Asian fighters fighting in Japan.

I say MMA is equally as diverse as boxing if not more. You dont see many Asian fighters in boxing other than a few Filipinos. I think MMA is actually more diverse than boxing.

Here is a fact considering that Randy Couture is leaving. They will be no White American champions in the UFC once Couture is gone.

Also the Main Event was an Asian guy against a white guy. So why did you say its only for white guys?

BTW I have black friends who train and follow MMA and they think boxing sucks balls.
