  2. No.  Di-something means two of that something.  There's only one Mn.  Also we usually don't use the Greek prefixes with compounds of metals and anions.

    This kind of compound would be named with the Stock system, as suggested by the IUPAC.  Therefore, the best name for Mn(OH)2 would be manganese (II) hydroxide.

  3.   simply out..no    manganese has an oxidation number of +2, +4, +5, +7  dimanganese hydroxide  ( Mn2OH )would require a +1/2 oxidation state for Mn...that is not possible. I cannot see how you could get dimanganese hydroxide as a name .

  4. No - try "manganese dihydroxide". You just put the "di" in the wrong place!
