Moany Tony having the bit between teeth - September Dash at Henlow
Trained by H. Dimmock, Moany Tony recently clinched three victories with plenty in hand, thus the bettors should stick with him in the September Dash, scheduled to take place at Henlow on Thursday, September 6, 2012.
After making a couple of unlucky rides, the black dog got his act together at the end of July. In a 277 metres contest, he always led the proceedings, and eventually seized the top rank by half a length.
Another cosy success came to his credit on August 9th, when he beat Blackrose Slick by 1¼ lengths to ensure the top rank. Continuing his ruthless march, the son of Eskimo Jack completed his hat-trick in late August, when outclassing Tolerton Dasher
and the rest with ease.
If we look at his stats, it is quite evident that the maverick hound has been improving day by day. On his last outing, he stopped the clock in a good time of 16.75 seconds, which was far better than the initial two triumphs.
Moany Tony is in fantastic shape, and there are no confidence issues. He knows this track very well, and has a superb track record here. So, there is no reason why he should not come up with another winning effort.
Other hounds in the crew are: Bursary Boy, Tolerton Dasher, Blackrose Slick, Blackrose George and Dods Little Gem. The 277 metres race is going to be started at 19:25 GMT. The champion hound will be given a handsome cash prize worth £150.
Bursary Boy has been disappointing since getting off the mark a few months ago. The draw is a plus tough. Dods Little Gem does trap well, but her recent efforts are not impressive at all.
Tolerton Dasher will make things problematic for Moany Tony, if he keeps up to his good work. The white and black dog won three of last five races. Blackrose Slick rarely misses a place among top-3. He will be in the mix once again. Blackrose George cannot
afford to make a hash of the start out wide.
Tolerton Dasher is yet to open his account in this class, but the progress he showed lately makes him a big danger to Moany Tony. Good luck to all the hounds.
