Mobile phone charging - How Long?

Question

I am looking forward to getting my se g900 on friday, and i was wondering how long should i initially charge the phone so that i get most out of battery. Do u think i need whole day? 10 hours? 5hours? or maybe just till its fully charged?

What do you lot think?

My Nokia 6500 gets up to full power in 10 minutes but then only lasts about 3 hours of playing games. I just leave it on charge overnight and it lasts forever.

charge it the first time over night, then let it run out completely over a day or 2, then charge it up again fully over night

8 hours is good 10 should be very good for the first time..

i got SE G900 only 10 hours needed

New phones don't need charging like old phones my Nokia N95 only needed 2 hrs for a full charge

The instruction booklet will tell you that.

First Charge should be for 12 hours to 18 hours  then use it till flat then it should charge to full in 2 hours or so.

You must follow the =charge instructions for the FIRST charge and run down to ensure maximum battery life.

i got my new phone the other month, the shop assistant recommended that i charged the phone for at least 9 hours before switching it on so i didn't ruin the battery.
