Mobile phone plz help.....

Question

My friend brought Sonyericsson K800i mobile phone from abroad as i m indian. If u insert SIM card it says insert correct SIM card & u cant use the functions of the phone there is a Vodafone logo on it should i have to use Vodafone SIM if so what i have to do to use the mobile with other SIM cards plz help

The phone is locked to the carrier it is purchased, you will need to contact the company who sold it and convince them to SIM unlock the phone.  You might be able to good for a tool to SIM unlock the phone as well.
