Today my husband recieved a text message on his phone from one of these mobile content 'companies'. He then proceeded to get loads more, each costing £2 just to recieve them!! He text back to say stop, and then he kept getting' you have unsubscribed' messages, repeatedly, again each costing £2! A total of £30 was wasted today, and there may be more to come!! What do we do about this?! Is there any way of getting our money back!? Who are these 'companies' and how do they get away with it!?!!!

  1. If you did indeed tell them to stop you can call your wireless company. Or you could also put a txt messaging block that way no messages get through causing no unwanted txt messages

  2. Follow these steps, you may have tried some already but I'll list them just in case

    1. Text STOP or STOP ALL to the number, this is meant to stop the subscription text service immediately

    2. Having done this, if not resolved contact your network provider and ask them to put a stop to the texts, if they won't or can't then speak to a supervisor/manager and let them you know you will be contacting the ICSTIS, they were set up to regulate these services.

    3. Actually contact the ICSTIS and complain about this company who is sending the texts out.

Follow the link below, it has a bit more info and some more links you can follow for the sites you can use for stopping the subscription services. Hope this helps you a little

  3. Contact your service subscriber straight away... as you've left it so long I doubt you'd get a refund though... when things like this happen you really need to act quickly and logically its not rocket science!!!

  4. It is possible it could be a scam.  Never trust anything like that.   I'm in the US and they even have commercials to join to get your daily horoscopes, or jokes, or even news...its a big waste of money.   Your husband probably subscribed, but then again, at times I get weird tenting messages from people also.   Call you phone company, tell them you didnt subscribe anyway, even if he did...because then surely you will have to pay back.   See what they tell you, if you cant get those charges knocked off, and blocked, try contacting the company, and say you are going to report them to your business bureau or something of that sort...maybe then they will help you.

  5. Make him sleep on the couch tonight.

You don't get these messages without "subscribing" to their services, he probably downloaded a porno and automatically joined a "club" by doing so, its legal read the small print at the bottom of the ad.

  6. u shud be able to call your phone company. and ask them to stop them receving texts from them. and u shud google the company aswell.

he is probably on pay monthly so u can easily contact your mobile company and talk to them.

ask him whether he join those women chat things at night

  7. When you receive a text,it will tell you who its from. Its up to you if you want to open it. Just delete it on arrival without opening.

  8. He must of initiated this sumehow

  9. he would have had to subscribe 2 it 2 get those txt messages. you could change his cell number? What are the txt messages saying?
